Organic Yogurt Recipe

It is a bit unusual, but it is sometimes like that! Because good products are not always easy to find, and because good things are sometimes easier to make yourself… if we know how!
We need:
6 cups whole organic milk
1/2 cup whole plain organic yogurt
A cooking thermometer

Warm up the milk in a saucer to 180 degrees F (82 Celsius), then immediately remove from heat.
Cool down to 120 degrees (49 Celsius) by putting the saucer in cold water. Stir with a wooden spoon and add the 1/2 cup of plain yogurt. Mix for a couple of seconds to evenly distribute the yogurt bacteria.

Cover with a clean dish towel and leave the yogurt overnight at a temperature of around 80 to 100 degrees (27 to 37 Celsius). Place a heating pad under the saucer if needed, warm up water to 100 degrees (37 Celsius), put it in a cooler and place the saucer with the yogurt in the cooler, close and leave overnight.
After 12 hours, mix the yogurt and then refrigerate for at least 2 hours. It is ready to be served!
If you like thick yogurt, strain it through a cloth after it has been refrigerated.
