Flying Carpet Rug by Ana Mir & Emili Padrós for Nani Marquina

Barcelona-based designers Ana Mir & Emili Padrós from Emiliana Design Studio came up with 3D rugs shaped like flying carpets for the textile and rugs designer and manufacturer Nani Marquina.

More than a simple rug, Flying Carpet is a comfortable and playful 3D space that lets you sit down, stretch and relax. The corners can be adjusted to fit your comfort zone.

“Flying Carpet means life at floor level, a plain and relaxing topography, a domestic oasis. Its design makes it a comfortable and playful three-dimensional space to sit down, stretch out and relax, both at home and in public areas. Any of its corners can be raised with grey felt-covered wedges, giving it a new form that allows you to make yourself comfortable on it to read, watch TV or chat.”
