“Nova” Rock Climbing Walls, by Lunar

International engineering and design company Lunar gives to climbing walls a brand new aesthetic that blends into modern spaces.

“Pro gear is out of place. Since it lived in the gym, no one has re-considered the design.”

Until the Munich-based European studio decided to transform the standard holds into a wall art comprised of indented ripples.

The concept, called Nova, has two modes, controlled with an iPhone app. When climbing, the selected route shows on the wall. When resting, you can set up the ambiance of back-lit piece of sculpture.
